Coronavirus Information

On behalf of everyone at the California State Summer School for the Arts (CSSSA), our hearts go out to all those impacted by COVID-19 as we all navigate this difficult and challenging time together. Our focus is, as always, on the health and safety of our students and instructors. CSSSA is closely monitoring all available information related to the continued spread of the Novel Coronavirus COVID-19. Because this is a fluid and dynamic situation, we are in continued contact with the Governor’s Office for updated information. CSSSA continues to seek direction from the Governor’s Office and is monitoring information shared by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Although our host site campus has temporarily suspended on-campus classes and events, CSSSA is continuing its preparations for the summer session.

CSSSA is establishing additional protocols to promote the health and safety of all students and faculty at our summer program. We have been and are committed to being responsible, thoughtful, and transparent with our decision process and, at this time, there are no planned changes to the 2020 summer session. As soon as we have clear direction from the Governor’s Office about this summer, CSSSA will email notification letters to all applicants. Our office is currently practicing social distancing, so we ask that you direct any questions or concerns to comments@csssa.org. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
